Elise is pretty mobile these days. In fact, just this morning, she sort of toddled about FOUR steps before deciding to crawl to her destination. I don’t know when she’ll get the confidence to take more than four little steps, but it seems to be just around the corner. Aside from that, two of her favorite things to do lately are climb things and make messes. I’m sure this is pretty common. Elise LOVES climbing the stairs, but we usually have them barricaded so she can’t even get to the bottom one…little did I know I needed to barricade the stroller as well. You can imagine the look on my face when I stepped into the kitchen to refill my coffee and came back to this:

Another popular morning activity involves taking every last cord, cable, charger, and electronic-related item out of the basket at the bottom of the bookshelf in the office. Now, I know that I could probably move it off that bottom shelf, but given the fact that most of the items in there are pretty benign, and the fact that it usually keeps her busy for at least thirty minutes, I’m gonna go ahead and let her enjoy it:
